Baman and Piderman
Baman and Piderman is an experience. It's a silly little web cartoon created by Mondo Media (http://www.mondomedia.com/shows/bamanpiderman/) starring Baman and Piderman, representatives meant to be Batman and Spider-Man respectively. In the show, Baman and Piderman are best friends who deal with mundane, everyday tasks and problems (such as celebrating Tomato's birthday). As the show progresses, it becomes more and more surreal. Baman and Piderman do not seem to abide by any known physical laws, Baman at times squeezing through gaps in segments and then rejoining himself. A trip to the basement leaves Tomato disfigured, wilting, and constantly screaming. They go on an adventure to fix him and he ends up with an anthropomorphic body with a large tomato for a head. It's an interesting web cartoon to say the least.
Baman and Piderman is interesting in the sense that it has almost no connection with any of the Spider-Man works, neither the adaptations nor the original comic. There are two things that connect it to the source material: Piderman shoots out webs from his wrists and wears a costume that is similar enough to Spider-Man's costume to be recognizable (primarily, the color scheme and the small spider on the front). Other than that, there is no coherent storyline apparent and no other Amazing Spider-Man characters appear. Piderman and Baman are both overweight, stupid, and lazy (Piderman drags himself around with his webs) - the complete opposite of Peter Parker. This is the loosest adaptation possible. In fact, calling it an adaptation is misleading - it's really more of a knock-off/parody cameo.
